Its Heather and Randy with Bacchus Real Estate professionals! Heading into February, housing inventory remains tight with fewer homes available for buyers. Currently, we have roughly 2200 existing homes for sale, down 40% from last year at this time. Even with the lack of inventory, more homes sold in 2021 then in 2020, and the average sale price increased by 13-½ %, to a high of almost $420k.Buyer demand is still strong and housing inventory remains low. Here is a fall market update for home sales. Although COVID has impacted the way we all live, home sales have remained strong. Having a home that suits your wants and needs is more important than ever, So its no surprise that the real estate inventory continues to remain tight in most markets. There are 20 percent less homes on the market this year vs last, yet existing home sales continue to outpace last years. The average sale price for an existing home increased by more than 6% to almost 364 thousand dollars. The 30-year mortgage rates are at record lows, and If you are looking to right size and make that next move, now is great time to do so!
